Welcome to Shanti Retreat. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including our website, booking system, and accommodations. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
At Shanti Retreat, we aim to create a warm, family-like experience for all our guests. While these terms establish our formal relationship, our goal is to resolve any issues with the same care and consideration you would expect from family.
1. Reservations and Payments
1.1 Booking Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation from us, either directly or through our booking partners.
1.2 Deposits: Most reservations require a deposit of 30% of the total stay amount at the time of booking. The balance is due upon check-in.
1.3 Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments (in Thai Baht only).
1.4 Rates and Charges: All rates are quoted in Thai Baht and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Additional services may incur extra charges.
2. Cancellations and Modifications
2.1 Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made 7 or more days before arrival date: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellations made 3-6 days before arrival date: 50% refund of deposit
- Cancellations made less than 3 days before arrival date: No refund
2.2 Modifications: Changes to existing reservations are subject to availability and may result in rate changes. Please contact us directly to modify your reservation.
2.3 No-Shows: Failure to arrive on your scheduled check-in date without prior notice will be treated as a no-show. No-shows are charged the full amount of the reservation.
3. Check-In and Check-Out
3.1 Check-In Time: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability.
3.2 Late Check-In: Please notify us in advance if you expect to arrive after 8:00 PM so we can arrange for your arrival.
3.3 Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee, subject to availability.
3.4 Identification: All guests must present valid identification at check-in.
4. Guest Conduct and House Rules
4.1 Respect: Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, property, and the surrounding community.
4.2 Noise: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum during these hours.
4.3 Smoking: Shanti Retreat is a non-smoking property. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
4.4 Pets: We are pet-friendly with certain restrictions. Pet stays must be arranged in advance, and a pet fee may apply. Pet owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damage caused.
4.5 Property Damage: Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damage should be reported to the management immediately.
5. Services and Amenities
5.1 Breakfast: Complimentary breakfast is served at Shanti Cafe from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM daily.
5.2 Wi-Fi: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. While we strive to maintain reliable service, occasional interruptions may occur due to our remote location.
5.3 Housekeeping: In line with our sustainability practices, rooms are cleaned and linens changed every three days unless otherwise requested. Daily light housekeeping is available upon request.
5.4 Local Experiences: Tours and activities can be arranged through our front desk. Cancellation policies for these services vary and will be communicated at booking.
6. Liability and Security
6.1 Personal Belongings: While we take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of the property, Shanti Retreat is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings.
6.2 Safe Deposit: Valuables can be stored in the safe deposit boxes available at reception.
6.3 Personal Safety: Guests are advised to take necessary precautions for their personal safety, especially when engaging in outdoor activities or excursions.
6.4 Insurance: We recommend that guests obtain appropriate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
7. Environmental Responsibility
7.1 Sustainability Practices: We are committed to sustainable practices. Guests are encouraged to help conserve water and energy during their stay.
7.2 Local Environment: Please respect the natural environment and local culture during your stay and excursions.
8. Website Terms of Use
8.1 Copyright: All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Shanti Retreat and is protected by copyright laws.
8.2 Accuracy of Information: While we strive to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, we do not guarantee it is error-free or current at all times.
8.3 Links to Third-Party Sites: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.
9. Force Majeure
Shanti Retreat is not liable for failure to perform obligations under this agreement due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or civil unrest.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Thailand.
11. Amendments to Terms
Shanti Retreat reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
